trip to Subic - Sheaven's Seafront Resort review

Last weekend was my first summer out-of-town trip for 2012..

Trip to Subic with my family...

It was a biglaang lakad kse dada's on a team outing the same weekend sa Subic. They have plan to go to Zoobic then I thought of bringing Bryce din sa Zoobic so we can tag along with dada. Kaso mo we have to stay to a different place since dada have team planning nga.

In less than a week, i was able to plan an overnight trip to Subic with my family. We booked one family room (php 2500/4pax) in Sheavens Seafront Resort in Baloy Beach Road Olongapo. We just added 3 more bed for php500 each.

Here's what i booked online:

Nice no? Shempre if online booking, i just base it sa pictures they post on their sites. Looks fine nga e.

But lo and behold..when we get there (sayang i wasn't able to take a shot of it), the room is located by the roadside so it is ingay talga. And the beds are divided ng wall so medyo masikip talaga and ekis sya for us having kids in tow.

We asked if they have other rooms available basta not on the roadside but OMG no more na daw! fully booked! We were given wrong expectation sa pictures online. We found out that they are on new management na just few months ago and the pictures online were outdated according to the receptionist. She gave us option to refund (but hell they aint giving the full refund! ano un?!) or to transfer to another room yet we have to pay additional. We asked to speak to the owner, Sam, who agreed on transferring us to Lucky Homes without additional fee(a bigger room with additional gamit but situated at the very back of the resort and tatawid pa ng daan). And we definitely deserve this! Pwede na din. The owner's too nice naman so this ends up my rant na.

Here's the room setup though i failed to take shot of the entire room sa opposite side where the lcd 40" is mounted, the sink, the ref and the cabinets too.

What's nice naman about the place is that it is not kaloob looban nung beach road and they have nice pool where kids enjoyed swimming.

They're also fronting the beach however walang sand. Pagbaba ng stairs water agad. Beach pa ba tawag dun? hehe.

The following day, the grey sand showed up kasi lowtide.

Nice din yung bar and resto beside the beach. Chill place for a couple of beer.

Ekis yung mga staff sa bar pala. It was 11pm and most of us were sound asleep na then biglang may kumatok sa room. at sino to? yung taga bar sabi mali daw yung nacharge na price per bottle. Instead of 60, dapat php80. Whatda! Yun lang mangangatok pa ng disoras ng gabi.

So ekis! Pero come payment time, we only settled what we signed on the charge slip the previous night with a php60 rate per bottle. Tse nila.

Overall Sheavens rating: 7/10 - nice pictorial place, staff needs to be further trained, owner/mngr easy to deal with, pool is kid friendly, can't rate their food since we didnt eat there, room rate is TIPIDITY!

Continue reading on to my next kwentos on our Subic trip!
