Experience Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar: the Heritage tour

On our first day, since of all of them went to bed to have siesta, I decided to join the heritage tour at 4:30pm. Since it is past 4:30 already and they already started, I caught up with the group at Casa San Miguel already.  This is among of those that visitors can rent.

Casa San Miguel

Casa Candaba

The mansion was originally owned by the Reyes family, one of the most prominent families in Pampanga during the 1780’s and was used as the residence of the Spanish Gobernador Heneral when visiting Pampanga
In 1961, National Artist for film JERRY DE LEON used the mansion as one of the settings for his immortal epic “Noli Me Tangere” an adaptation of the novel of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, wherein the mansion served as the residence of Kapitan Tyago and Maria Clara
Another casa that can be rented. - Casa Meycauayan

Casa Meycauauyan
Originally constructed 1913 in San Fernando, Pampanga, the house was owned by the Escota family. Using exactly the same materials and design, the house was reconstructed at No. 50 Provincial Road, Barrio Hulo, Meycauayan, Bulacan in the 1950’s and was later acquired by Rogelio Urrutia who came from a prominent family in Meycauayan. This served the venue for the family gatherings.

Las Casas' Cafe Marivent serves Filipino

We had lunch as we arrived here in Las Casas at the 2nd floor of Casa Unisan. Cafe Marivent serves Filipino and Spanish cuisine. What we ordered was full Filipino

Adobong baboy

Pesang isda

We also had one of their specialties, Chicken Tinomok. The soup is made of Coconut juice so it tastes kinda sweet. Not my type though.  I enjoyed the fish best.

For dinner, we had Pucherong Baka, Chopsuey, and Binagoongan baboy. We also had the famous gabi ice cream for dessert at P40 each.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar: a trip back in time

This is one awesome place in Bagac, Bataan that I want to visit this summer so I booked right away via Asiatravel's Citibank promo. We got 3 deluxe rooms at 3k each payable in 6mos. Nice noh! We just added one bed per room since we're composed of 9 adults. Cost is 950 each for a Sunday rate. We just settled it sa hotel na prior to check in. This rate doesnt include breakfast.

From Mt Samat, it took us another half hour going to Las Casas. We were greeted by the guardia sibil as we enter the gate. They asked for our headcount and the name of the registered guest. Then after they noted the front desk about us, they let us in.

Kalesa ride costs P50/head (kala ko free haha!)
We went directly to their reception area at Casa Mexico for check in. Since it is too early for check in, we had lunch first at Casa Unisan. We were given welcome drinks and I asked them to serve it where we'll lunch since antagal before they serve it sa reception area.

Warning: There are no airconditioned common area here so better bring a fan and umbrella in case you'll just do day trip.

We had lunch at the 2nd floor of Casa Unisan. I don't know if this is part of Cafe Marivent also which is on the 1st floor of Casa Unisan.

After lunch, we headed back to the reception area for our keys. Vehicles are allowed only up to the reception area. They transport your things to the hotel rooms at Paseo de Escolta using a cart.

We asked to have an adjacent rooms, unfortunately one of our rooms was situated on the other side before the tiendesitas. But we can see them from our veranda. So if you will have 4 rooms, better ask them to give you one door of the paseo wherein it houses 4 rooms, 2 rooms on the 2nd floor then another 2 on the 3rd.

And here's the view from our room:

And inside the room,
